I have always been a slow learner. For years I did not understand why I needed to reread certain material for it to make sense to me. It took me triple the amount of time to study for exams compared to other students. I also started noticing changes outside of school. I couldn’t concentrate when performing basic daily activities. My friends had to say my name 3 times for example to get my attention when I had my moments of dazing off. Even as a gymnast, my coach always told me to, “get out of the clouds”.
I seriously didn’t know what was wrong with me. Moreover, I did not want to speak to a psychiatrist because I thought I was fine. I convinced myself I was okay and that I was just a little slower than others. As a student, I convinced myself I had to study longer to do better in school. As a gymnast, I convinced myself I have to practice harder to generate better results at competitions.
Eventually, my unknown ADHD got worse and worse so I made the decision to prioritize my mental health and scheduled an appointment with a psychiatrist. This was the best decision I ever made. Just being in the waiting room on the couch, waiting for the doctor to call me in felt good. I was here to get some answers. Before I knew it, I was diagnosed with ADHD and anxiety and suddenly everything made sense.
The lack of focus, concentration, energy, and more was because I had ADHD. The panic attacks in stressful moments came from bursts of anxiety. Therapy helped me to a certain extent but there were those times where my heart was beating so fast during a panic attack that I simply could not control it.
I did not think a pill would change everything but it did. I started to pay attention in class without dazing off. Information I learned in the classroom started to make sense to me quicker. I was even able to help others study for exams. Outside of school, I was more attentive to my surroundings. My panic attacks significantly reduced. My life changed for the better. Even those around me started noticing that I was more attentive in the classroom for example.
Looking back, I thought I would be looked at differently if people knew I had to rely on meditation to help me with my life. But it doesn’t matter what others think. All that matters is that you are taking care of and prioritizing your mental health.
All was going well until I faced a minor issue. If you aren’t aware, various ADHD drugs are very common in college students. When I was in college, I often saw students asking other students for their ADHD medication.
I was very worried because I did not want anyone asking me for my mediation. Furthermore, I did not want someone sneaking into my bag or in my dorm closet and stealing my medication. I was seriously worried and did not know how to solve this issue.
This is when Safe Rx came in and helped me tremendously. Safe Rx ensures your medication is secured in a bottle with a lock code that only YOU know of. This makes sure that you are aware of any tampering that is going on. If you see the lock code out of place, that signifies that someone was trying to steal your medication.
With Safe Rx, I now know that my medication is in a safe place. For example, if I am studying in the library and need to step away from the desk for a few minutes, I know I can leave my bag with my medication because Safe Rx will keep it locked up and no one will be able to get into the bottle. This can improve so many lives, especially the lives of college students who are worried that their medication might be stolen by roommates or other students on campus.
It’s hard to notice when one pill is missing from a bottle. For example, if there is a prescription bottle with 30 capsules, someone can take one and you will most likely not notice. You will notice on the last day of the month when you are one day short of medication, but you will not notice when the bottle is almost 100% full. Safe Rx ensures that you will know when someone tried to get into your prescription bottle because as I mentioned before, the lock code will be out of place.
If you believe that someone has been trying to get into your medication, the Safe Rxtechnology is tamper-evident and can help you recognize if someone has been tampering with your bottle. The way to know that it has been tampered with is by noticing the tabs on the inside of the bottle cap and are damaged or broken off.
There are millions of prescriptions out there. Some medications come in capsule form. Some come in pill form. Additionally, the dosage varies. With that said, some prescription bottles come in larger sizes than others. Safe Rx provides two sizes of locked prescription bottles so that your prescription bottle fits inside the Safe Rx bottle.
Overall, Safe Rx was created in order to help put an end to the “opioid epidemic”. The founder of Safe Rx is a parent but also a physician who deals with various prescription narcotics daily. He knows that the number 1 source for teens to get medication without a prescription is from the family medicine cabinet. Moreover, once the prescription leaves the pharmacy, it can be stolen, abused, and eventually cause drug problems. With that said, the founder of Safe Rx wanted to find a solution, so he developed an easy solution to prevent individuals from having access to unauthorized prescriptions. Safe Rx acts as a wall that helps in preventing addiction.
